9_24_ Past Present

Cowboys legend Jason Witten, who is hoping to find a home in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, will actually have a new home in Oklahoma. The former tight end great is expected to join the coaching staff at the University of Oklahoma.

Witten, a current finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, is among 15 finalists for the upcoming class in his first year of eligibility.

But since he's been out of football, Witten has been on the sidelines coaching Liberty Christian High School in nearby Argyle, Texas.

Witten is likely to assume the role as tight ends coach at OU, where they recently parted ways with that position coach. Witten would also reunite with former Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray, who is the Sooners' running backs coach.
