Adding depth to the OL room?

9:35 p.m. -- Depth on the offensive line has always been something the Cowboys feel strongly about, and have had.

According to a report, Dallas has agreed to terms with former 49ers offensive lineman Matt Hennessy on a deal to provide the Cowboys with more of that depth.

Hennessy, 28, has played in 64 games over the course of six seasons in the NFL. The Falcons selected him with a third-round pick out of Temple in the 2020 NFL Draft, and he's since played for Atlanta twice, the Eagles, and most recently the 49ers. Hennessy has experience playing both guard and center.

Two of the Cowboys' most valuable depth pieces on the offensive line, T.J. Bass and Brock Hoffman, entered this offseason as restricted free agents. Bass received a second-round tender from the Cowboys, while Hoffman did not receive a tender.

Cowboys release veteran QB Will Grier

3:30 p.m. — After signing Sam Howell in free agency, the Cowboys released QB Will Grier on Thursday.

Grier spent the 2025 season on Dallas' practice squad as the third string quarterback behind Dak Prescott and Joe Milton. He was in his second stint with the Cowboys after being waived by Dallas back in 2023, and returned in November of 2024.

After signing a futures deal with the Cowboys in January, Grier now becomes a free agent. In his career, Grier has played for five other NFL franchises.

The Cowboys also revert to having three quarterbacks on the roster in Prescott, Milton and Howell, who officially signed his contract with Dallas on Thursday along with safeties PJ Locke and Jalen Thompson.

What Cowboys are getting in safety Jalen Thompson

12:16 p.m. -- Newly-acquired safety Jalen Thompson officially signed his contract on Thursday at The Star in Frisco.

The former Cardinals veteran talked about reuniting with coach Ryan Smith and describes what he believes the Cowboys are getting.

"A physical safety, a safety that can do pretty much everything. I don't consider myself just a safety, a DB in general," Thompson said of his game. "Nickel, corner, free safety, strong safety, wherever they need me at, that's where I'm playing… Just a player that can bring some wins to the team and can just be versatile. Show the versatility and can help the team out in many different ways."

Recent trades give Cowboys 9 total draft picks

12:16 p.m. -- The Cowboys made a pair of trades on Wednesday, sending DTs Osa Odighizuwa and Solomon Thomas to other teams for draft capital.

The Cowboys added a third-round pick for Odighizuwa and swapped positions with the Titans in the seventh round.

Adding a Day 2 pick is big for the Cowboys, who didn't have a second- or third-round pick earlier in the week - only the two first-round picks.

Now with three Top 100 picks, check out the overall list of draft picks for the Cowboys for next month's NFL Draft.
